The ASCENDER project, led by Eduardo Quiñones, a senior researcher in the Computer Science department at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC), has concluded, having successfully deployed a software architecture for continuous computing environments for the efficient development, deployment, and execution of extreme data analysis methods.

Last Tuesday, October 14th, the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC), the project's development center, hosted another work session for the ASCENDER technical team and the project's R+D partners.

The installation of two cameras and several air quality sensors, in the Eixample area of Barcelona, will allow us to extract detailed information about the traffic and the vehicular emissions, with the aim of improving the granularity and accuracy of the air quality models.

From 20th to 22nd January, Barcelona held a new edition of the international HiPEAC conference, the premier forum for experts in computer architecture, programming models, compilers and operating systems for general-purpose, embedded and cyber-physical systems. The ASCENDER Project was part of the conference through the BSC booth.

Last Wednesday, January 15th, Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC), the project development center, hosts a workshop with the technical ASCENDER team and the R+D partners from the project.
